18 Months

Yesterday my babies officially turned 18 months old. I can hardly believe it! There's no way they can be that old! They are my babies. Colten and Carter are so much fun!! We love and adore them.

Carter:

It seems like I always start with Colt first so I thought I'd start with Carter this time. He is so smart! He loves to talk and sign so many things! Some of his favorites are dog (still), ball (he can sign football and basketball), tree, sun, flower, swim, dad, more, eat, drink, clothes, please, thank you, blow kisses, and a lot more he just doesn't sign as often. They love to watch signing time and play outside. Basketball is another favorite as is any ball that's ever come into view. Papa is another of his favorite words to say! Carter isn't so much a momma's boy but he does love to snuggle while he drinks his bottle and sometimes while watching a show (another of his words he likes to say). Carter loves to sit and stand on my coffee table as well as on the side tables. He is always trying to play with my blinds or touch a picture frame on the wall.  We accidentally left the tray off on the high chair and I caught him climbing up his high chair to get in and sit in it on his own. It's a good 2 1/2 feet in the air! He can unlock my front door.. Fortunately, he doesn't know how to open the door. Yet. He can open any door with the long handle and he does! We have to lock the front door at Grandma & Grandpa's to keep him inside.

Colten:

He is a momma's boy and I LOVE it. He loves to come snuggle into my lap and cuddle with me. Yesterday I was out with the girls and he insisted "searching" the house for me. Even made Marty open the bathroom door to prove I wasn't "hiding" in there. Only then to pull him to the front door saying "mommy" and pointing like he was trying to tell Daddy they all needed to go looking for me. He is the sweetest. He is also very smart! He loves to sign and talk. He can be shy for a few minutes (Carter does this too) until he warms up to someone but then he's all talk and non stop moving! He loves to climb up on everything he's not supposed to. Some of Colt's favorite things to say or sign are dog, ball, basketball, sun, mommy, daddy, more, drink, turtle, swim, clothes, please, thank you, and blow kisses too. He  says and signs a lot more but those are the most frequent.

They both know who Jesus is and like to carry a picture of him around at Grandma & Grandpa's house.  They always show us who he is in the pictures at church and at home. They love to be together. Sure they can be apart but they prefer to be together. They both Love to be outside. They'd be outside all day if we'd let them! The love their bottles of milk too. If we would let them they'd live on milk and only milk. ;) They switch personalities. Carter is definitely more daring most of the time. Colt is daring on occasion but mostly is more calm and likes to snuggle. Sometimes Colt is the daring one and Carter seems more calm and snuggly. You never know why or when it'll happen but it definitely does.

Today was our first day of nursery. It was hard for me to leave them. Not to mention strange to suddenly have some time to myself while still being with Marty. It was so nice. Carter did get upset when he noticed Marty and I were gone and after he left to come find me I came back to nursery with Carter to find Colt upset. I ended up spending a good part of nursery in there with them but the leaders said they did really well for it being their first time! Daddy got to enjoy Sunday School and Priesthood and he loved it. I know going to nursery doesn't seem like much but it sure was a big step for me. A big step showing how much they have grown up so far. They aren't so little anymore.

i sure love these boys!! <3
