Cali lovin'

We got the opportunity to go to California this summer with my Mom. She was going down for her high school reunion and wanted to do a family reunion. Marty worked all weekend so he didn't join us. I was slightly worried with how well it would go with Colt & Carter.. Two on one can be difficult at times. However, I was extremely impressed with how well they traveled and how well they did in California. Neither boy cried more than 15 minutes total on the drive there. It was amazing. 

My mom, Evan, & Jackson went to a Dodger game while  I enjoyed sitting outside at Taylor's while the boys played. I love the weather in California! The next day we spent at Taylor's house and the beach with my cousins. We had a lot of fun seeing them. They also go to met the twins for the first time which was awesome! 

Colt & Carter slept in their Cousin Will's bed. It was unusual for them but they did really well in a strange place. They did so well that we recently upgraded them to a new big boy bed just like Will's. A twin bed for them to share for now.

Carter was adorable at the beach. I didn't really think about how they would react to such big waves.. Carter would wait until the water got close to touching him and then he would turn and run back to me after which he would chase the wave back and start again.

Saturday was spent at the mall and quite a bit of shopping. My Dad was also in town and we got to spend the evening with him. It was a really fun vacation and I'm glad the boys did so well!!
