1st Birthday

Colten and Carter are 1!!!!!! I can hardly believe that it's been a whole year since they were born. 

They have grown so big! They are thee cutest little guys ever. Marty and I are completely in love with them. From coming home at 4 lbs to weighing over 20 lbs now. It has been quite and adventure!

We invited all our family over for cake and presents. We had a great turn out. The boys are so loved! We started out with opening presents first. Our cousins Siena and Cara are such great helpers!  The boys are still so new at opening gifts and the girls showed us how its done :) Colten and Carter wanted to play with each toy not continue opening more lol. They also enjoyed the gift wrapping quite a bit. The boys got lots of new toys, books, and clothes!

Figuring it out..

Since their first birthday was a big deal to me I wanted to do a little photo shoot of them eating their  supposed "first cake". Fortunately,  (with a few stipulations) Marty went along with it. :) We ended up just doing it in our front entry. I hung a table cloth from the stairs, made a cake, and got some balloons. Marty helped get their attention while I took the photographs. Colten was in the cake before I even set him down. It was cute to see Carter looking at it like "You want me to touch it?" we kind of had to coax him into it. 

All in all we had a wonderful birthday celebration. I got the pictures I wanted and we all enjoyed a fun family celebration. Thanks to all our family for all the gifts and for coming to celebrate their first birthday!
