Brianhead

This year my older brother and his wife decided that it would be fun to get everyone together at a condo in Brianhead! It sounded like an awesome idea to me!! We are so fortunate to have so much of our family so close to us right now. We sure miss Taylor and Heather and their family often. We are grateful for the times we do get to spend some time with them and this is one of them.  This year was technically a Larsen year so we had to plan a little differently. Marty worked on the night of the 23rd which was the day everyone went up to the Condo. We spent the 24th with the Larsen side of our family doing our usual family traditions and then went home to sleep at our own house and do Christmas morning there. Grandpa & Grandma came to visit us and see what sweet things Santa brought us and then after nap time we left for Brianhead.

Poor little Carter got sick on the way up the canyon. We aren't sure if it was just from driving up the canyon or if he was actually sick from the bug that's been going around in the family.. Either way he was fine after one episode of vomitting. The condo was beautiful. It sat exactly across from the Giant Steps lodge which is our favorite. A short little walk over to hop on the best lift at the Resort. I believe it snowed the whole time we were there pretty much.. That or the wind made it look like it did. There was a total of 34 inches in all that the storm brought! Daddy was sure happy shredding through all of that powder the very next day with Grandpa who came up to join him and Uncle Taylor. It was freezing though. A whole 12 degrees, with wind and complete cloud coverage. Heather and I were contemplating snowboarding/skiing in the afternoon but bailed when we realized that it wouldn't be as enjoyable as we hoped. We had a good time in the condo with everyone who was there. Colt and Carter sure love Will & Emma. Anytime Colt heard either of his cousins cry he'd call out "Emma, Emma". It sure was cute to see his concern for her :). What a sweet little guy!

Colten and Carter had their first ever playing experience in the snow.. They LOVED it. It didn't matter how cold they were they would've played all day if we had let them. I think it might've had something to do with being outside lol. It was a lot of fun to be able to play in the snow with them. In the end it was very tough to be in a strange place and sleeping arrangements were difficult (with the boys) I did enjoy myself and it's always a lot of fun to be able to spend time with family. I'm so grateful for our families. We love them each so very much!! Grateful for all the memories we've made and relationships we have :).
