twenty.one.months.

As of December 6th my little ones are 21 months old. I cannot believe that they are pushing 2 years old!! There's no way they can be that old. Marty and I are sure in love with our little men.

It amazes me to see how much our little boys are growing up. They are still so active and they love attention.

Carter: (because he's usually 2nd I'll post about him first) :)

1. Carter is definitely quieter than Colten. He is very content (just like Larsen men) to sit and play quietly or on very rare occasion snuggle up to you while watching a movie.

2. He loves to play with cars. I will find him pushing a car through my kitchen for probably a good twenty plus minutes at any given time. He also loves to line up Grandma's many cars next to each other. Carter will always push them for a minute to make sure they are working properly and then puts them in their "spot". If he finds an airplane in the car bucket he will go and put it in its specific place, aka the battle ship. He is very meticulous.

3. Carter is my biter. If Colt has something he wants or they start to fight over a toy his first instinct is to bite! He knows he will win. It can be hard to discipline Carter and comfort Colten at the same time but I do my best. Marty and I have put the boys in the bath recently only to see that Colt had a full set of bite marks on his back.. I wonder who could be the culprit? Or how he even managed to bite Colt on his back with his whole mouth..

4. He still loves to be outside. His favorite outside things are: balls, dogs, brooms, swimming, going on walks, and playing basketball.

5. Carter is a total Momma's boy. He doesn't like to be without me for long. I can always hear him calling "mom, mom?" even if I have just left the room for a minute. If i am in the kitchen he comes running in from the living room to check on me. It has been a challenge to get him to go to nursery for two hours on Sundays because he wants me to stay with him. He will go off and play on his own but about every 5 minutes looks for me. We have even tried having Marty stay to help him transition and although he loves Daddy it just isn't quite the same.

Colten:

1. Colten is my talker. It doesn't matter if it's 6 am or we are sitting in church. He is always chatting someone's ear off! He loves to tell you about everything he see's and wants to make sure you're seeing it too.

2. His favorite toy is a ball. Basketball, baseball, soccer ball, Christmas ornament the list goes on. Anything that's round is considered a ball (even my breasts) lol. He will play basketball for hours throughout the day with anything that will go through the net.

3. Colt doesn't seem to really have any form of fighting. Yes, he is guilty of wrestling over a specific toy but he doesn't seem to bite or hit or anything like that. Not intentionally because he knows it'll help him get what he wants.

4. He loves to go outside as well! He shares the same favorite things as Carter.

5. Colten used to be a Momma's boy. Not anymore though. He seems to be a big boy. He is brave and doesn't cry much when one or both of us leaves. He can entertain himself quite well and is becoming more independent.

Colten & Carter:

1. They are best friends. They do not like to be without the each other. If either of the boys wake up before the other they will say the others name: Co-co/Coky(Carter's attempt at Colty) or Car-car until he wakes up. They love being together. It makes me happy to see that even though they fight sometimes they ulitmately love each other. I am so grateful that they have each other. I know they will be life long best friends.

2. Both of my little guys are shy when meeting a new person. Sometimes even around family that they haven't seen recently. However, after about 10-15 minutes their shyness is completely gone! They now know you as if you have always been a part of their life!!

3. As much as I have tried to get them to like movies like Monsters and Cars their favorite movies right now are Tangled, Frozen and Tarzan (Tarzan being an exception). I personally think it's the singing - that or they are already interested in pretty girls ;).

4. They love bath time! Marty and I can't even mention the word bath without them yelling "Bath bath!" at the top of their lungs and running upstairs (usually pulling one of us with them) to the bathroom door ready to get in.

5. At just 20 months Colten and Carter kwew all of the letters of the alphabet except the letter V!! Not that I had anything to do with it (thank you Super Why) but it is a proud Mom moment :) More proof of how quickly they are growing up!
he must've been really cold. put his hands in his pockets all by himself :) too cute!
Carter found a basketball that was partly open and decided to help it along lol!
watching Daddy and Papa playing racquet ball.
I cannot believe that so much time has passed. However, I am so grateful for the happiness and love they bring into our family. My little guys are my little sweethearts. I adore them and am so grateful that I was given the opportunity to be their mother.
