We've taken the boys out to the lake only once before.. It isn't Marty's favorite thing. I don't mind because I enjoy being together as a family no matter what we are doing or how difficult it may be.
Marty and I have been taking turns going to the lake lately and this week grandpa offered the invitation to bring the boys out to the lake. I "talked" Marty into bringing the boys since I was already on my way. They were a little fussy and curious for about the first third of the time and then we got them in the water and on the tube and they were perfect after that! It made for a great family lake trip!! They suddenly seemed content and loved what was going on.
Grandpa was playing with Carter on the back of the boat and had set him on the platform for a few seconds only to hear a splash and realize that Carter had stepped off and was in the water.. Sure a scary moment - thank goodness for life jackets!!!!
