So since the boys love swimming so much we decided to take them to the Washington Rec Center to swim indoors. We had never been and so we planned a time for it to work that we could go with cousins. We went on a Tuesday afternoon just after nap time and it was completely empty. There were maybe 7-10 other people in the whole pool area! I didn't really pay attention to the lap pool though so who knows? There was one other mom and her two kids in the same area that we were playing in so it was great! The boys dove right in. Going down slides and getting soaked. It was a lot of fun! I'll tell ya there's no staying dry in that place. They've got a big bucket dump every few minutes and all sorts of spray toys everywhere.

We took the boys over to a smaller slide that was kinda secluded and were taking them down it because they are a little too small to not go under the water at the bottom. Anyway Siena suggested I try the other slide (I think because we were too slow and she wanted to go :)) and I sat Colt on my lap and went down only to be thrown across the opening between the slide and the net/tile wall. It was so fast that it just threw me. Poor little Colt was pretty shaken up and I had cut up my elbow on the tile wall.. I felt really bad. I had no idea that there could be such a difference between slides. I tried to take Colt out to sit on the side and calm down but he was right back in the water within seconds. I had to stay out for a while to tend to my wounds. I was just happy that he was ok and continued to go down more (safer) slides lol. Overall it was a lot of fun!! I would love to go back there sometime soon. The hardest part was getting the boys to leave. They threw a fit because their cousins got to stay but we couldn't. I felt really bad to make them leave but at least we know they liked it right?
