On Monday May 11th Marty and I left the boys with Gordon and Deb and headed off to Vegas to catch our flight. We were headed to Atlantis in the Bahamas!! We caught a red eye to Miami and from there to Nassau. Unfortunately, our flight was delayed 40 minutes after boarding due to the pilot waiting for the catering service that never showed up. It was frustrating as we had a connecting flight in just 1 hour.. After running through the airport to what felt like the total other end we barely caught the bus that took us to the plane. We were very happy to have made our flight though our bag wasn't so lucky. Fortunately, it came on the next plane a few hours after us and was delivered to our hotel at about 5 or 6 that night. I was glad Marty suggested we pack a swim suit and our toiletries in our carry on.

We got to Nassau early Tuesday morning about 8:00 and got to The Royal Towers around 10:00 after getting our lost bag taken care of. We got to see a lot of the town and it is a beautiful place.

Our first day we just did a little exploring and becoming familiar with our surroundings. We actually ended up on a beach that we weren't allowed on. Oops! Oh well it was beautiful and we had the place to ourself!
We also had the Royal Baths pool to ourselves as well. I think there was maybe 5 people in the whole pool.

We finished the day with dinner at the Marina.
