Last weekend we made a trip to Las Vegas to visit Aunt Becca and Uncle Phil. We had yet to see their new home. They live in a beautiful area and have a beautiful home!
We arrived Friday around lunch time and met my Dad and his wife Kim for lunch in Henderson. We ate a nice pizza place. Afterwards we headed to their home to spend some time with them before heading to Becca and Phil's. Phil had to work that night so we spent most of Friday with Becca. She took us to the coolest splash pad/park! The boys absolutely loved it!! They were in heaven. We learned the fastest way to baby proof Becca's house lol. Becca was also nice enough to let Marty and I go out for a date that night. We layer the boys down for bed and off we went to the Las Vegas Strip.
We tried to eat at the Rainforest Cafe but decided it was a bad idea when we waited 10 minutes in line and had not talked with anyone to inform them we were there to eat. We crossed a bridge and went into the New York New York and found a fancy italian restaurant that had us seated, fed and brought our check in probably 30 minutes. It was impressive and delicious! We then checked out the heresy's factory and walked the strip to the coca cola factory as well. We had a nice time and it's always fun to spend an evening in Las Vegas.
Saturday we went to the park near Becca and Phil's house. It's a pretty cool park. It is made of a bunch of recycled parts from an old water plant. They have thee biggest slides I have ever seen, a beautiful field, and basketball court. We spent some time there and then the boys had a nap. Unfortunately, Friday their air conditioner stopped working and yes it was quite warm!! We all had a sleepless night I am sure.. The boys never do well when they have to share a room with us either. They like to wake up and play in the middle of the night. For lunch Becca took us to the Galleria Mall - we had to get out of the house lol. Phil decided to stay home so the repair man could come and fix their AC. The worst part is the guy didn't even show up :( so Phil should've just come to lunch/shopping with us! The good news is that their AC did eventually get fixed luckily for them!
We had a good time visiting and look forward to going back to Vegas to see them again - and if we are lucky their AC will be working ;).
